From West and East Africa, the sweet spot for cheap European flights is mid-January to mid-March, and again from late September to early November.

Summer (June–August) is the most expensive. Christmas fares often double.

From Lagos and Accra, Casablanca-connecting Royal Air Maroc and Turkish Airlines via Istanbul consistently price lower than direct flights.

From Nairobi, Ethiopian and Qatar out of Doha are competitive.
