Overview
Zanzibar is the easiest long-beach holiday to reach from West Africa, and it pairs naturally with a short mainland safari. We arrange flights, resort, transfers and excursions in one booking.
Choosing your beach
Nungwi and Kendwa in the north have swimmable water at all tides and the liveliest sunsets. Paje and Jambiani in the east are calmer and better value, with kitesurfing. Stone Town is best for one or two culture-focused nights.
Excursions worth booking
A spice farm tour, the Prison Island giant tortoises, a Safari Blue day on a traditional dhow, snorkelling at Mnemba atoll, and Jozani Forest for the red colobus monkeys.
Safari extension
Add three or four nights on the mainland for the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, or a shorter Selous or Mikumi option if time is tight.
